Prices and mandatory taxes

Local laws and alcohol
You must comply with local laws and customs in the UAE and the Maldives, including rules on dress, behaviour, photography and public conduct. In the UAE, alcohol is served only in licensed venues; public intoxication and drinking outside licensed areas are prohibited. In the Maldives, alcohol is generally limited to resorts and licensed tourist establishments; it is prohibited on local islands and import is restricted.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, evacuation, repatriation, cancellation, delay and baggage. Some destinations require proof of insurance for entry.
